Everyman Project

The Everyman Project was a project initiated by Lex Luthor. Its goal was to grant super-powers to non-metahumans. The first recipients of the treatment became the members of the Luthor's own super-hero team, the new Infinity, Inc. John Henry Irons was granted powers through the process against his wishes. Luthor also had the ability to strip the powers away from those he had granted them to.

Luthor's own physiology made him incompatible with the treatment. He continued to get retested, hoping that he might eventually gain powers himself.
