History

Machiste is a native of the interdimensional "Lost World" known as Skartaris. In his youth, he was enslaved by the forces of King Deimos and forced to work in the galley of the slave ship Gryfalcon. It was here that he met the displaced U.S. Air Force colonel Travis Morgan. The two became close allies and the work aboard the Gryfalcon hardened their minds and their bodies. They were soon pressed into service as fighters in a gladiatorial arena. The former gladiator champion Shebal trained Machiste and Morgan in the art of warfare. Machiste followed Morgan's lead when the latter elected to lead a slave revolt against their masters. It was during this time that Travis Morgan became more widely known throughout Skartaris as the Warlord.
